4th of July VanDee Camping

The family is trying a new tradition this year. The camping trip was held over the fourth of july. The first day we went canoeing... Dave and Chris got so hammered they proceded to sink their canoe......several times.... Remember the corridor of death Dan??? yeah, you know what I'm talking about!! LOL Lucky for Jacque and I, I had Jacque get into my canoe and put Chris in with Dave mere moments before the first sinking.... enough said on that. The second day we went tubing down the river... yup, we all thought we'd die before we finally were done, I think it took like 8 hrs to finally float to our destination, nothing near the "3-4hrs" the pamphlet said! Overall though, it was a fun time together. Thanks to everyone who helped organize the trip!! :)

I thought I'd stick a picture of Abu in here... hasn't he grown!?! Still soooooo cute though.... too bad he's loosing those gorgeous blue eyes :(

This picture of Abu and Wilber was taken after getting back from camping. Abu was so happy to see Wilber again! Wilber, of course, was absolutely exhausted!!!

Misc. pics since June :)

So yeah.... I know it's been awhile, but I'll try my best to catch up on the top moments since June. Sorry Britt ;)
At the begining of July, Chris and I purchase a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan. Chris's excuse was of course because it would be a more comfortable for me.... but we all know it's a "man thing." I do admit though, it is a very comfortable ride... and we've definantly enjoyed it this past summer. One more toy to add to the garage....

Meet Abu!

Sat., June 9th, Chris and I went and picked out a kitten! I had noticed an add in the gazette for free kittens, and with a little persuasion, we were on our way to get one!! Chris got to pick the name, so he decided (with a little help from Keegan and April) that "Abu" would work just fine. And yes.... this is another Disney name!!

Simba, of course, was one pissed off kitty!!! Can you tell by the look he's giving me?! LOL Lucky for us, he got over it quickly and is now letting the little rascal play with him..... to a certain point. ;)

Wilber had a hard time understanding why Abu didn't want to play with him at first!! Wilber loves to chase Abu and nip at his tail!

This is a picture of Abu's first bath. He kinda smelled dusty (he was born in a garage). He did a lot better than I thought he would!! We also clipped his needle sharp nails!! We DO NOT need Wilber's eye injured again!!! That has probably been the thing that has made me the most nervous!

The bath wore him out!!

After a few days, Abu finally decided Wilber (who is basically an overgrown cat) was no longer a threat! Aren't they adorable? :)

Anyhoo, I had a lot of people wanting to see what he looked like, so there you are! The newest member of the family!

Happy 3rd Birthday Wilber!

June 12th Wilber turned 3! :) Chris and I just got him some treats and gave him some extra attention- pugs are very needy little creatures!

The following three pictures are the treats he got for his birthday... I can't believe they actually make "dog" icecream!!!! LOL Wilber LOVED IT!! But, then again, "grandma" always gives him DQ icecream if we're having it during our Sunday family meal!!!

Pretty sure his head can't get any closer to the bowl to get his icecream.... Each cup had so much icecream, I had to give him a break 1/2 way through so he wouldn't get "brainfreeze."

Here he is enjoying his "dingo."

Bike ride with dogs and tree trimming

Wilber and Holly anxiously awaiting to get out of the truck.

Believe it or not, there really is a bridge here going to Thomas Park. Chris graciously agreed to be the one to pull around the dogs ;)

I know, I know... ridiculous..

We had heavy rain the last couple of days.. the Indian Creek was really up and muddy looking. But it was a beautiful day!

After we got back home we did a little tree trimming. Holly and Wilber got chew on some freshly cut branches.

Sometimes they share, sometimes they don't!

Chris caught me working a bit in the flowers.

And I couldn't resist putting a couple more flower pictures on here. I love my camera! :)

Bonfire :)

Chris and I finally got a firepit for our back patio. Chris, April (one of my best friends) and I, were able to enjoy it last Sunday. And yes... this firepit is the same one Dave and Jacque have! What can I say... They just have good taste! :) Of course the dogs (we are dogsitting for my parents) enjoyed it too!

Is it just me or does Holly look possessed?? LOL

Modern relaxation... gotta love it!

Come on now.. aren't they just cute?!

and even more cute?!
