Halloween 2008

Wouldn't have taken much to make that a unibrow Jacque!

Grrrrrr.

Who is the mystery dog that was left on Dave and Jacque's doorstep? As far as Eric is concerned... he's going with the motto- Just smile and nod. LOL

Keegan, Travis and me :)

What dog likes a nice cold MGD?

These next few pictures are from Halloween night. It wasn't too bad out, so we sat outside at Mom and Dad's.
This is Mom makeing her nastiest hissing noise.

Grandma and I

Ride and Go Cowboy!!!!!

Boating with the dogs

These are just some boating pics I took while trying to use up the film from my CO trip water camera.

CO White Water Rafting 2008

The following pictures are from our Colorado Rafting trip. One of our more expensive adventures, but one of the best! It was such a fun day which was paid for with a sore seat for two days. :)

Witchy Jacque LOL

This picture has quite the story behind it.... Chris would be the one in the very front of the raft "riding the bull." (Notice his legs sticking straight out) While he was up there, he didn't have time to make it back to his seat before we hit some level 4/5 rapids!!! We all were laughing sooo hard as Chris was up there hollaring. LOLOL Our guide told us we were one of the best groups he had had. IT WAS SOOO SICK!

All I see in the picture is Jacque's boobs.

Chris has a little dip left on his lip from lunch. Lunch was provided by the guides, and consisted of raw veggies and cold meat sandwiches. We were so hungry it seemed like the best meal we'd ever had.

Chris was the only one who chose to wear the wet suit.

Colorado

The following are just some misc. pictures from our (Dave/Jacque & Chris/Christina) Colorado trip in June/July 2008. We finally decided to do a major road trip together considering we both don't have kids and honestly, there probably wouldn't be a better time. :)

These two car pictures were actually taken when we packed to go home...but seriously, this is how packed the car was pretty much the entire trip.

This gas station was in CO. I think we actually had to fill up a little here. WHAT A STEAL!!!!

IL is THE most BORING state ever!! (to drive through anyway)

This was one of our first stops. This cog railway went up Pike's Peak which had an elevation of about 14,000ft.

Doesn't this kind of look like a heart? It's hard to believe that these flowers could grow at such an altitude.

Jacque and I being goofy. :)

These next pictures are from the Garden of the Gods park.
Do I really need to say anything here??? LOL

The Royal Gorge Bridge was a really cool stop.

Some kids never grow up ;)

Jacque was SO excited about having Little Caesars Pizza.
These next pictures are from the Rio Grande Scenic Railway train ride. Please note: if I look tired in the pictures, it's because I am.... I had to take Dramamine so I didn't get sick from the motion. I left off the pictures Chris so kindly took of me when I accidently fell asleep.

We got to take a quick break from the train ride to walk around outside.

This above picture is of the National Sand Dunes Park
So Jacque and Chris are not in the following pictures. When we got out of the car, we were all just about carried away by the mosquitos. Jacque and Chris immediately dove back in the RAV as Dave and I headed out to the dunes. To our pleasant surprise... the mosquitos were gone as soon as we got across the stream you see Dave standing in.

How weird is it that on one side is a completely arrid desert... and on the other, is a lush mosquito filled area? The mountain water in the stream was ice cold, but felt really good.

Dave and I's tracks going up the dunes. It didn't take long for the wind to cover out tracks.

Next stop.....Denver

Ceiling fish tank.

Yup Chris... that's a big one.

Hmmmmm... Now if I only had my fishing pole.

For the longest time I couldn't remember why Jacque had this face... Jacque reminded me... "The big fish just ate that little fish."

Back at the aquarium for dinner at their really cool restuarant

I don't think Bumblebee or Oscar want a drink, Chris

Golden, CO.... Home of the COORS plant. I can't even describe how excited Dave was.

At the end of the tour, we all got our choice of 3 10oz beers. Of course, considering Jacque and I aren't big into drinking beer... Dave and Chris got more than their fair share.

Chris, I do believe that belongs on the end of a golf club.....

Hat hair.

On our way to Estes Park....I had to drive... otherwise I'm sure I would have gotten sick. Lots of tight turns.

These are the Rocky Mountains behind us... Obviously we are in Rocky Mountain National Park.
This is where they make the ranch... :)

We found a metal Wilber!!

So pretty....

Throughout the rocky mountain park roads, several areas had water streaming down from the melting ice on top of the mountains.

It would appear as though Chris has a little captain in him. LOL

Just a side note- I have pictures from our white water rafting trip too and will be posting those next. Wow.... I forgot how time consuming blogging can be. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. :)
