Bike ride with dogs and tree trimming

Wilber and Holly anxiously awaiting to get out of the truck.

Believe it or not, there really is a bridge here going to Thomas Park. Chris graciously agreed to be the one to pull around the dogs ;)

I know, I know... ridiculous..

We had heavy rain the last couple of days.. the Indian Creek was really up and muddy looking. But it was a beautiful day!

After we got back home we did a little tree trimming. Holly and Wilber got chew on some freshly cut branches.

Sometimes they share, sometimes they don't!

Chris caught me working a bit in the flowers.

And I couldn't resist putting a couple more flower pictures on here. I love my camera! :)

Bonfire :)

Chris and I finally got a firepit for our back patio. Chris, April (one of my best friends) and I, were able to enjoy it last Sunday. And yes... this firepit is the same one Dave and Jacque have! What can I say... They just have good taste! :) Of course the dogs (we are dogsitting for my parents) enjoyed it too!

Is it just me or does Holly look possessed?? LOL

Modern relaxation... gotta love it!

Come on now.. aren't they just cute?!

and even more cute?!

This year, Chris and I planted our very own vegetable garden!!! We planted all of our favorites for making garden fresh salsa- tomatos, zuchinni, onions, radishes and of course peppers! Perhaps I have inherited a bit of my mom's "green thumb." :) I've also included a few pictures of my back flower beds, thanks mom for all the help in picking out my flowers.... the only cure for "the sickness" as Chris would call it!!

Wilber loves to hang out with me in the back yard.

See my love birds? :) I think this pair of morning doves has a nest in one of my back trees.

This is my herb bed. I plan to make a few tasty dishes this summer.

This is a bloom off of my siberian iris that came from mom's yard last year. Thanks Mom, it's so pretty!

This is the other newest addition to my yard this year. I'm hoping the clematis grows into the fence... perhaps if it does well, I will plant a couple more next year ;).
These next few pictures I put on here because I thought they were so pretty.

Happy 50th Sherry!!!

Okay... I realize this post is very belated but, the following pictures are from Mom's (Sherry) surprise 50th birthday party!! The party was hosted by her kids (Dan, Dave and Christina) and their families. Of course Mom was making sure she looked good every time she went anywhere due to the possibility of us throwing her a party ;)

Bedpan anyone??

Mom, maybe you should save that...since you are a 1/2 century and all... LOL

The cake was bought at Hy-Vee

Of course somebody always has to get a gag gift to embarrass the birthday girl. Mom was gifted a nice pink thong. :)

Is this woman seriously 50!?!

Dan and Britt- really wish you could have joined us in this picture..
Chris- I have no idea where you where! LOL

New Years Eve in Fairfax

Mom and I bought cute little hats for the dogs. :) They started the celebration early! Some dogs will do anything for a treat!

I guess Chris thought I bought this hat for him. He actually preferred it over the other hats!

Silly Grandpa, gotta love him!

This was a really good picture of Uncle Les. This was the first year Aunt Rosie and Uncle Les came. Aunt Rosie brought along a jug of her home-made wine!

Ah Pepper.... definantly a requirement to know in this family!

This is a good picture of Mom before she got kind of silly :) She always makes such a great hostess. The house looked very festive!!

Now if you look closely, you will note that Mom is actually singing into the wine bottle.... and it begins!!!! LOL

Kylian (Jean's Daughter)

My baby Wilber... to cute for words. :)

Brook at the pepper table.

And then there's Jacque.... always an inventive woman. What a goof!

Dave finally made it to the house around 9ish? He had been driving home from MN after visiting his friend Eric. Winter storms made an 8 hr trip turn into more like a 12-13hr trip!! No wonder he looks a little tired.

Serious pepper players.. Jacque always got really excited when she was able to take a "trick."

Peek-a-BOO!!!! Your guess is as good as mine!

The women in their tiaras and hats!

These hats remind me of "Soul Man." Dan- that one is aimed at you!!!

Grandma Carol tooting her horn

Everyone just having a good time

Here we are watching the "ball drop" on TV, I believe this is about 10 seconds before 2007!

I realize these things take much concentration! LOL

Ah, there we go!!!

Aunt Rosie and Uncle Les

More horn tooting.

I realized I wasn't in many of the pictures.. so here I am!

Here's a great picture of Brook and Chad

Wilber resting on my shoulder.

What was in that wine?

Mario Kart was the game of choice for the kids. :)

Chris and I on Mom's new couch.

Time for bed I think...

Wilber was extremely tired by the end of the night......
